Since I was old enough to pick up my parents' nineteen-inch GE tube television (yes, you read that right, I had crazy toddler strength), I've had a genuine love and excitement for the medium. From ages four through...now it was my best friend, my teacher, my clock, and confidant. Pathetic? Don't judge me! It's how I crafted my spirit, my craft, and found my voice—growing up the only child to immigrant parents in Brooklyn it was hard to get a word in edgewise.

 

My influences are Yvette Lee Bowser, Suzanne DePasse, Mara Brock Akil, and Susan Fales-Hill. They produced wrote and wrote the shows that shaped me. Now I stan for Robin Thede, Issa Rae,  and Amber Ruffin who provide me with laughter, hope and an aching desire to be in their writer's rooms.

Some personal: Still living in Brooklyn with my husband in our jewel box of an apartment with nearly 30 plants and 70 Barbies (yes, you read that right I still collect them, I have a crazy Fashionistas collection of especially Kens and Dolls of Color! Check my Instagram). I like for things to be unique, vintage, and if possible, rose gold.
